Executive Briefing on Disability Discrimination Act

A two-hour session for up to 6 senior decision-makers, explaining your DDA responsibilities with regard to employment, provision of goods and services and the DDA 2005. Get all the key information at your fingertips.

Disability and Customer Care

A two-hour induction into disability etiquette designed for all front-line staff. Highly participative and lots of fun while learning. Essential for any business involving face to face contact with the public. Suitable for up to 10 staff.

Introduction to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)

A half-day suitable for larger groups of between 10 – 20. Gives a thorough overview of the DDA and examples of good practice. Includes an opportunity to carry out a DDA Healthcheck on your business or department. Participants will understand their responsibilities under the DDA and will be more confident to work with disabled people as customers and colleagues.

DDA Healthcheck One-to-One

Suitable for smaller businesses, a one and a half hour, one to one session to help you take an in-depth look at how complying with the DDA can enhance your current business and future plans. Get all your questions answered!

Full Access Audit

Take the strain out of DDA Compliance! An access audit helps you to see where your business is doing well and where it could improve its service to disabled customers. After discussing your needs and business objectives with you, a trained Access Auditor will inspect your premises and arrange checks on your website and any other publicity, as specified by you. A detailed report is then provided, giving recommendations and suggesting an order of priority. Estimated costs of alterations will be provided on request, together with lists of suitable suppliers.

Mini-audit

Suitable for small businesses who employ staff or have contact with the public. A trained and experienced Access Auditor will visit and tour the business premises with the manager, discussing access problems as they are seen. A brief report with recommendations will be provided at the end of the tour. Time: up to 2 hours.

Access Statement

An access statement outlines your intention to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act and sets out how you plan to do this. Useful for business planning and will now often required as part of a planning application. An access statement helps an established business to respond to the new demands of the DDA by showing how you will address your access and employment issues over a period of time.

Accessible events management

Events – such as exhibitions, conferences and product launches, must now be fully accessible to disabled people. Why have all the worry yourself, when our experienced team can ensure everything is covered: finding an accessible venue, making sure publicity is right, ensuring front of house staff know how to provide the right service to disabled participants.

Consultancy

We can provide consultancy and advice on a whole range of issues. For example, a valued employee has acquired a disability, how can we retain them? How do we ensure we have the right policies in place to tender for local authority work? How can we improve access during our planned refurbishment? For more details on how we can help you, please call us on 020 8698 3296 or use our contact form.
